A potentially fatal lung damage known as Acute Respiratory
Distress Syndrome (ARDS) is caused by a
fluid leak into the lungs. The body is unable to take in
oxygen and it becomes difficult to breathe.
The majority of ARDS patients are admitted to the hospital
due to trauma or diseases.
