About Dr. Ketan Patel

Dr. Ketan D. Patel (MBBS, FEM, MCEM, EBCEM) is the best emergency medicine specialist who graduated from Pramukh Swami Medical College, Karamsad, Gujarat, India. He did his post-graduation in Emergency Medicine from Royal College of Emergency Medicine, UK (MCEM) in 2007. He is European Board Certified in Emergency Medicine (EBCEM) and Fellow Academy College of Emergency Expert (FACEE) in India. He is currently Consultant and Head, Department of Emergency Medicine at Zydus Hospitals & Healthcare Research Pvt. Ltd, Ahmedabad. He is MRCEM examiner, member of Editorial board - Indian Journal of Emergency Medicine. He has done numerous oral and posters presentations in various national and international conferences. He is the instructor for BLS, ACLS, PALS (AHA, USA), ATLS(USA), FCCS(USA), National Disaster Preparedness course for the Hospital, Emergency USG. Dr. Patel has worked as Consultant and HOD, Emergency Medicine at Apollo Hospitals International Ltd, Ahmedabad for 8 years. He was course coordinator for EMT (LIJ-USA) and Diploma in Emergency Medicine (Royal Liverpool Academy-UK) and member of editorial board - EMS INDIA. Dr. Patel earned his MBBS degree from Pramukh Swami Medical College in Karamsad, after which he obtained advanced training in emergency medicine at the Royal College of Emergency Medicine in the UK (MCEM). He has also been awarded European Board Certification in Emergency Medicine (EBCEM) and is a Fellow of the Academy College of Emergency Experts in India (FACEE).
At present, he is the Consultant and Head of the Department of Emergency Medicine at Zydus Hospitals, Ahmedabad. Prior to his joining Zydus Hospitals, he was the Consultant and Head of Emergency Medicine at Apollo Hospitals, Ahmedabad, and worked as an Emergency Medicine Physician at Apollo Health City, Hyderabad. He is an MRCEM examiner, editor in the editorial board of the Indian Journal of Emergency Medicine, and is an instructor of the internationally acknowledged emergency life support courses.
