Presently working as a consultant CVTS surgeon with Zydus Hospital Anand. Dr Priyankar Sinha is seasoned cardiac surgeon with over 32 years of experience. He has been senior Consultant at Narayana Institute of Cardiac Sciences, Bengaluru from 2017 to 2021. He practiced and helped develop the UN Mehta Institute of cardiac Surgery and Research Center, Ahmedabad during its growth from 1999 to 2015. After specializing from the KEM Hospital, Mumbai he has trained extensively in renowned units both in India and the United Kingdom (UK). He has worked at Bombay Hospital and Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai. Southampton General Hospital & Hospitals in Birmingham, Stoke-on-Trent, Coventry and Nottingham among others in the United Kingdom. He has performed more than 15000 Cardiac Thoracic and Vascular Operations among which more than 9000 coronary Artery bypass Grafting (CABG) operations, using conventional beating heart total arterial bypasses and minimally invasive techniques. He has performed more than 1100 valve repairs, I have achieved eminence in this field. He has addressed many international and national cardiac surgery meetings on this topic and has demonstrated live surgery in teaching forums at international and national workshops. He is only Indian cardiac surgeon who has conducted a structured training programme for fellow cardiac surgeons in heart valve repair. He was the Programme director for the only International valve repair workshop. The Bangaluru Live Congress 2019 and 2020, conducted at the Narayana institute of Cardiac Sciences.
