Work experience

• Dr Divakar Jain is an experienced hepato-pancreatic-biliary (HPB) and liver transplant surgeon and brings with him 15 years of experience in surgical field. He completed his graduation and postgraduation at B. J. Medical College Ahmedabad. He completed his super-specialty training in surgical gastroenterology at Lakeshore Hospital and research center Kochi and was awarded Diplomat of National Board (DNB) degree from National Board of examinations. He received his fellowship in HPB surgery and liver transplant from Fortis hospital, Delhi NCR after a 1-year rigorous training in the specialty. He worked for 5 years as Assistant Professor at P.D.U. Medical College, Rajkot and Government medical College, Surat and trained many students in surgery during this period. He has worked as Consultant HPB and liver transplant surgeon at Fortis hospital, Noida, Fortis escorts, Delhi, FMRI Gurugram, Dr B L Kapoor memorial hospital, Delhi and was working as Consultant HPB and liver transplant surgeon at Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital, Mumbai before joining Zydus Hospital, Ahmedabad. He has participated in more than 600 liver transplants. He also has an extensive experience in complex surgeries for cancerous and non-cancerous conditions of liver, gall bladder, bile duct and pancreas. His key areas of interest are donor safety, pediatric liver transplantation, transplant immunology and pancreatic resections.
• He is a founder member of Liver Transplantation Society of India (LTSI) and member of International Liver Transplantation Society (ILTS).
