DEPARTMENT OF GASTRO SCIENCES
- Single Balloon assisted Enteroscopy (SBE) examines the lining of the esophagus, stomach and deep small intestine (duodenum, jejunum and ileum) with a small camera (flexible endoscope), which is inserted down the throat with the assistance of an overtube / balloon system.
- Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS) is a minimally invasive procedure to assess digestive (gastrointestinal) and lung diseases. A special endoscope uses high-frequency sound waves to produce detailed images of the lining and walls of digestive tract and chest, nearby organs such as the pancreas and liver, and lymph nodes.
- We have 2 sets of EUS with both Radial and Linear Probes.
