Dr. Udhaya Kotecha

Professional Bio:

• Dr. Udhaya Kotecha is a well-known genetic medicine specialist, having worked in the field for more than two decades. She has experience working as a medical genetics physician and has acquired expertise in the same sector. She began her professional career as a senior registrar in pediatrics. Following her fellowship in medical genetics at Sir Gangaram Hospital in New Delhi, she worked as a medical genetics consultant. She has won several awards for her various presentations and is a well-known member of multiple medical genetics societies.

Academic Details:

• Fellowship- Medical Genetics in the year 2011 from Sir Gangaram Hospital, New Delhi.
• MD in Paediatrics from Shri M. P. Shah Medical College, Jamnagar in the year 2006.
• MBBS from Shri M. P. Shah Medical College, Jamnagar in the year 2002.

Past Associations:

• Started off her career as a senior registrar from 2007 - 2008 in Paediatrics at N.M. Virani Wockhardt Hospital, Rajkot.
• After working for two years i.e. 2009-2010 as a clinical associate at the Sir Ganga Ram Hospital's Centre of Medical Genetics in New Delhi, she was promoted to the role of research associate for the ICMR Project, "Creating a Web-based directory of Genetic Services and Genetic Information in India," where she worked for a year (2011) in the same institute.
• In the Sir Ganga Ram Hospital's Centre of Medical Genetics, New Delhi, she became an Associate Consultant from 2011 – 2014 and an exceptional Consultant in Medical Genetics from 2014 – 2015.
